Sadness is a feeling that we try to avoid, especially nowadays. We see so much happiness on social media and somehow we feel like strange creatures when we sadness shows up. On the other hand, sadness gives us information meaning, and can be very useful. We feel sad when we lose things or people that we love, when the things that we value are vanished and gone. This emotion can help us to become more internal and reflect on our history, attitudes. It also communicates to others that we need help, bringing affective connection.
